Facebook is one of the biggest social media platforms in the world where people get to interact with friends, send messages,  call, upload pictures, and even do business,  etc. It is most likely that these days people hack into others' Facebook account for some unknown reasons, and it has become very serious and something to deal with. So far with some accounts stuff hacked and some outcomes, we have seen with the hacked accounts, the hackers use those accounts for illegal stuff which is not really good. It is to this that this post will show you a way to prevent hackers from hacking your Facebook account using Two-Factor authentication reasons.

What Is Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication is a secure way of getting a verification code before someone can access your Facebook account, in order words if someone tries to log in to your Facebook account you will be sent a code that will grant the person access to your Facebook account, and if the person doesn't have the code they can't log in to your Facebook. And it is seen that when a person logs into your account, what they do is change all your details and use theirs in place of yours and when that is done you won't be able to recover your account again. With no further ado let's get started.

How To Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

It is quite easy and simple to set up 2factor Authentication, just follow the steps below to set it up.

1 Login to your Facebook account

2 Go to settings

3 Go to password and security

4 Click on Use Two-Factor Authentication

Now you can use Two-Factor Authentication in two ways. The 1st way is using a Two-Factor Authentication mobile App and the 2nd way is by Text Message. and will explain both ways.

Mobile App Two-Factor Authentication

Mobile App Two-Factor Authentication is a way of getting the code through the Authentication mobile app, you can get the app here, after getting the app, follow the above steps to where you see the mobile app Two-Factor Authentication, when you get there, you will have to click on either Authentication App or Text Message(SMS).

We are focusing on Authentication App you will click on the Authentication app, after clicking on it you will see a bar code to scan or enter a code.

You will have to enter a code written below the bar code, open the Authentication app and insert the code seen in the picture, after doing that you can hit continue and the authentication app will give you a code to insert in the confirmation code section below.

And you are good to go. Anytime someone has access to your password is tries to log into your account you will receive a code from your authentication app before he or she can gain access to your account.

How To Use Text Message(SMS) Authentication

Text Message(SMS) is an easy way to secure your Facebook account, here codes are sent to you via your mobile number and when the code is been inserted you will be able to gain full access to your Facebook account. Now let us go straight to the point on how to enable Text Message(SMS) Authentication. After the steps above and you have gotten to where you can find Authentication App and Text Message(SMS) Click on Text Message(SMS).

After clicking on the text message you will be asked to insert a mobile number you want to receive the code with, after inserting the number you click on continue.

After clicking on it a text message with a code will be sent to the mobile number you used and you will be requested to insert the code.

After inserting the code correctly you will then see a new page saying Two-Factor authentication is on. And that is all...

Please note that after following the steps carefully, your Facebook account is now saved and any time you try to login into another device a new code will be sent to that mobile number after inserting the code your Facebook will be open and if otherwise or you can't get the code  doubt if you will be able to get access to your account again, same is applicable with the Authentication app
